Time Doesn't Heal All Wounds

We’ve all heard the saying, "Time heals everything," but does it really? Time doesn’t always heal the wounds we carry. It doesn’t erase the memories or make the feelings disappear. Instead, it teaches us how to live with them.

In the beginning, it feels impossible. Every song, every familiar place, every fleeting moment reminds you of them—of their laugh, their touch, the way they looked at you as if you were their entire world. It lingers like a ghost, impossible to escape. You hear the advice to "move on," but no one tells you how. They don’t explain that moving on doesn’t mean forgetting. It doesn’t mean the love vanishes.

Moving on means learning how to live with the emptiness they left behind. It means accepting that some people leave such a mark on your soul that no amount of time can erase it. The ache doesn’t disappear—it becomes part of you.

You don’t stop loving them. You just learn how to keep going, even with the weight in your chest, the whisper in your heart that says, "It should’ve been them." And that’s okay. It’s a painful, yet beautiful reminder of the love that once was and will forever remain in your heart, even as time continues to pass.
